IF EVERYONE READING THIS POSTER DONATED IN THE URGE OF INDIAN –CANADIAN ORGANIZATION (ICO) MEMBERS HUNDERED OF LIFES COULD BE SAVED. THE ICO TEAM IS ASKING INDIAN CANADIAN COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO JOIN THEM TO SAVE A LIFE. THE FOCUS OF THE DRIVE IS TO ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE FROM THE INDIAN COMMUNITY TO GIVE BLOOD AND HELP PATIENTS.

According to the 2006 Statistics Canada census, South Asians make up 3.9 per cent of the Canadian population yet account for just 1 per cent of Canada’s donor base. Different ethnic groups have a higher prevalence of certain blood types, such as B-type blood in Asian populations, and can also possess rare blood types not found in the Caucasian population. As Canada’s population becomes more diverse, so too will the needs of its hospital patients.

Please join us for the 1st Annual drive to donate with the Indian-Canadian Organization members, their family and friends to donate and achieve their this year goal of 25 donations.

Please come out and donate with members on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Hillcrest mall located at 9350 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill.

You can also donate as per your convenient location and provide this number –     INDI933952 to achieve our goal.
